INTRODUCING
YOUR FIRST TEAM
Doors close on July 13th, 2026 | We start July 16th, 2026
This is a 4 week intensive designed to help service providers confidently lead their first team. Together, we build the leadership skills no one hands you after you’ve hired.
Let’s walk through what happens each week:
We’ll start with one of the biggest questions every new leader asks:
“What do I actually hand off?”
Because if you delegate the wrong things (or hand work off without enough context), you usually end up creating more work for yourself instead of less.
By the end of the week, you’ll know how to:
- Confidently decide what stays on your plate and what your contractor should own
- Delegate work in a way that reduces questions and back-and-forth
- Set your contractor up for success before they even begin a task
- Spend less time explaining and more time focusing on the work only you can do
- Use a simple delegation framework you can apply every single week
Now you have a delegation process you can come back to again and again, so you’re no longer making decisions on the fly.
Once you’ve delegated the work, the next question becomes:
“How do I actually manage it without micromanaging?”
It’s easy to assume that once a task is assigned, it’s off your plate. But if priorities aren’t clear or your contractor doesn’t know what’s most important, you’ll still find yourself answering questions and jumping back in to fix things.
By the end of the week, you’ll know how to:
- Assign work with clear expectations so your contractor knows exactly what’s expected
- Prioritize projects so your team is always focused on the work that matters most
- Spot roadblocks before they impact deadlines or your client experience
- Manage workloads without accidentally overloading your contractor
- Create more space in your own schedule because you’re no longer managing every tiny detail
Now you have a workflow that keeps projects moving without making you the middle person for every decision.
The #1 mindset shift I want you to make is seeing systems as more than just documentation.
Good systems give your contractor the confidence to work independently because they know where to find answers, what “done well” looks like, and how things are meant to be completed.
By the end of the week, you’ll know how to:
- Find answers without needing to message you every time they get stuck
- Deliver more consistent work that protects your client experience
- Take ownership of their role with greater confidence
- Complete recurring tasks more efficiently because expectations are documented
- Help your business run more smoothly (even when you’re not involved)
Now you have practical systems that support your team without making your business feel overly complicated.
If giving feedback makes you uncomfortable, this is for you!
Most of us were never taught how to have those conversations, so we either avoid them altogether or wait until we’re frustrated enough that the conversation feels much bigger than it needed to be.
By the end of the week, you’ll know how to:
- Give constructive feedback in a way that builds confidence instead of defensiveness.
- Navigate difficult conversations without avoiding them or overthinking them.
- Create accountability while maintaining a positive working relationship.
- Handle mistakes as learning opportunities instead of ongoing frustrations.
- Build the kind of trust that helps your contractor take ownership and do their best work.
Now you know how to make feedback a normal part of working together, so small issues don’t turn into big ones.
